Iranian Naft Airlines is the first Co. which has commenced activities in state airplane industry. Then , air force of the Islamic Republic of Iran , Post Airlines , I.R.I. Airlines were established . This Co. established from the beginning two sectors of airplane management and airport management – two parts of air industry in the world . then , National Iranian Oil Co. decided that the whole sub – collection of Ministry of Oil enjoys services of Iranian Naft Airlines . The idea for formation of an independent Airlines and increase of air fleet was fulfilled by virtue of which the air activities in state oil industry within the framework of National Iranian Transport Co. continued as one of the companies affiliated to oil Co. by exit of National Iranian Oil Transport Co. from sub collection of Iranian Oil Co. , this Co. is affiliated to Iranian Oil Pension Org. which was a turning point in the activities of this Co. , so that its air fleet was increased and for the first time jet airplane by name : Fokker 100 , capacity : 100 people entered the scope of activities of this Co. At present , this Co. owns 9airplanes including 4 Fokker 50 , 4 Fokker 100 , 1 Twin Outer , while , within the future , one Fokker 50 will be added to air fleet of this Co. the present report , comprises explanations of Eng. Ezatollah Bahmaei , Deputy Engineering and Repairs of Iranian Naft Airlines on history , programs and goals of Co.

Considering activities of this Co. , deputy of engineering and repairs of Iranian Naft Airlines says : by establishing independent airports in cities of Abadan , Masjid-i-Soleyman , Aghajari , Goureh , Khark , … this Co. has presented valuable services to oil industry of the country and such services are increasing considering the requirements of this industry.

Before , Abadan airport was the center of activities of oil industry airlines . During the imposed war , due to requirement of aviation activities of oil industry , the center of activities was transferred to Omidieh . But , at present , Ahwaz airport is the center of operations and activities of engineering and repairs of naft Airlines and the whole engineering activities and repairs of airplanes are performed on daily basis . Before revolution , a high percentage of the specialized body for maintenance of airplanes at oil industry was made by foreigners , mainly by Canadians and Dutch . After revolution , having trained domestic specialized personnel , National Oil Co. removed its needs which had occurred due to absence of foreign specialized personnel , so that at present , before and after every flight , the airplane is checked and inspected by the educated specialists , exports , technicians of this Co.

Air activities in the field of oil industry are very wide and includes the whole companies which make sub collections of oil , gas , petro chemistry , refinery , distribution . while it appears that the air activities of oil will be doubled by the future industrial projects. Due to distribution of its work scope , oil industry requires aviation activities and has comprehended the possibilities and updated capabilities in this scope . Oil services in air scope is not exclusive and at present , everybody enjoys it , so that displacement of passenger by Iranian Naft Airlines comprises 1/3 of total state flights.
